Neo Global Development (NGD) General Monthly Report: May 2023
In May 2023, Neo embraced a relatively calm period, following up on opportunities from recent previous events and preparing for new ones. Neo additionally engaged with the Neo community and beyond by collaborating with Alchemy Pay to educate Neo and Alchemy Pay users about the benefits of Neo’s recent integration of Alchemy Pay’s payment gateway, taking on a validator role in the KaratDAO ecosystem, and more; and the developer communities and projects in the Neo ecosystem continued to build, collaborate, and grow. Neo General Updates
🎉Capping off Consensus 2023 and anticipating new events
In April, Neo and numerous Neo community projects had a notable presence at Consensus 2023, showcasing a remarkable level of innovation and collaboration. Neo shared a lookback on the highlights and insights from the event in a recap article and a Twitter Space session.

OneBand, an exceptional Non-Fungible Item (NFI) developed by COZ, one of the largest developer communities in Neo's ecosystem, achieved significant success at Consensus 2023. Building on this success, as part of a collaborative endeavor to promote wider adoption of the OneBand ring across various industries, in May COZ announced a partnership with Neo and Degenz.wtf. This partnership leveraged OneBand’s capabilities to facilitate the auction of an NFT with a movie theme, aimed at supporting charitable causes. 🙌 Joining KaratDAO ecosystem as a Validator
Neo also joined the KaratDAO ecosystem as a Space Odyssey Genesis validator.
KaratDAO is a decentralized identity and data network that aims to bridge Web2 and Web3 by leveraging multi-party computation and zero-knowledge proof technology. Space Odyssey is an activation campaign for the new Karat Network launch designed to onboard new users. Users that register with Karat Network and select a validator node can earn rewards and become eligible for future airdrops.

🎙️ AMA with Alchemy Pay
In April, Neo delivered another significant step forward in ease of doing business worldwide by integrating Alchemy Pay's payment gateway. Thanks to this integration, Neo users can now use their preferred local fiat currencies to seamlessly purchase cryptocurrencies.
Neo took part in Alchemy Pay’s May 26th Twitter Space AMA as part of the new collaboration. The session engaged the Alchemy Pay community, reintroduced the Neo project, and delved into the continued partnership efforts aimed at enhancing on-ramping experiences.
🤖 NeoChat ChatGPT creation competition wrap-up
To celebrate the launch of NeoChat, Neo held a content creation competition centered around the Neo N3 ecosystem. The Neo community came through with an abundance of impressive and entertaining submissions. Active participants were rewarded for their creations, votes, and valuable suggestions with a share of a pool of nearly 500 GAS tokens. The submitted works inspired by the Neo ecosystem are available to explore here.

On May 12th, leaders from eight Neo community development groups (AxLabs, NNT, NEXT, NeoResearch, NeoSPCC, NGD Digital Labs, NGD Enterprise, and Red4Sec) presented their February and March progress in a video update and shared their upcoming plans.
